Worst mother on earth

THERE ARE BAD parents. Then there are horrible, evil, menace-to-society parents.

It’s under the latter category you can place Tamara Broomfield (seen at right), a Toronto-area devil woman who fed her two-year-old son cocaine for more than a year, almost killing him at one point with an overdose.

The single mother, 28, was convicted last year for administering cocaine to her son, and of aggravated assault endangering life and assault causing bodily harm.

At the sentencing hearing yesterday, the judge described Broomfield’s actions as ”gross parental abuse over a prolonged period of time against a vulnerable and defenceless child.

“As a result … her son Malique has sustained permanent and irreversible brain damage causing him to be dependent on others for the rest of his life.”

You might think this crazy woman should be put away for life – or trotted out in front of a firing squad, if this were Utah – yet she received only a seven-year prison sentence for such horrifying abuse of her own child.

The mother, who has no criminal record or history of drug addiction, never provided an explanation for why she did what she did, prompting the Crown attorney to describe her simply as “evil.”

Broomfield – a.k.a. the worst mother on earth – maintains she is innocent and plans on filing an appeal, her lawyer said. The mind races to think what she could possibly come up with by way of a legit defence.

In the meantime, I’m thinking female castration is in order for Tammy. Given that parents aren’t required to get child-bearing licences, it’s really the only sensible way to save another kid from being coked up and beaten by this psycho.

Call me strange, but I think the Firing Squad is a lot more humane (for the victim and the executioner) than hanging, gassing, and even the needle. If I had to choose between them, I'd rather be shot (properly); second choice would be a well maintained Guillotine. Electrocution would be one of my last choices, see audio of Execution of Ivon Ray Stanley by electric chair Don't worry it's just an article, the audio is embedded if you want to hear it. It's not particularly gruesome, but it does demonstrate how ineffective electrocution can be.

Back to Tamara, she's a bitch not doubt. Even if we disregarding that she named her kid Malique Roots has a lot to answer for- not sure if she qualifies as “Worst mother on Earth”. I wish she did. The realization that she doesn't means there's a whole lot more “evil” out there. BTW she's not *evil*, she's just a selfish, lazy, sadistic asshole.

“The mind races to think what she could possibly come up with by way of a legit defence”

    Oh, I don't know…

    “It's Bush's fault”
    “It's due to poverty”
    “It's due to racism”
    “It's whitey's fault”
    “The Jews did it”
    “It's the Government's fault”
    “The kid deserved it”
    “It's her parent's fault”
    “It's due to institutional discrimination”
    “I have Aspergers/ADHD/AIDS etc”
    “It's islamophia!”
    “It's homophobia!”
    “It's capitalism”
    “It's imperialism”
    “Democracy is at fault”
    “She's been marginalized”
    “Call Obama on the phone…”
    “Patriarchy is holding me back”
    “Western hegemony is to blame”

I won't go on, you get the picture. It'll be anybody's fault but her own.

BTW, Earth starts with a capital E Mr. Couldn’t believe the completely inappropriate use of quotation marks. Such flagrant grammar abuse normally irks me…

Rather random thoughts on executions, but interesting all the same. To be fair, and in defence of your grammar abuse allegations, I do believe the 'e' on earth/Earth can go both ways…

    According to the OED:
    earth |ərθ|
    noun
1 (also Earth) the planet on which we live; the world : the diversity of life on earth.
    • the surface of the world as distinct from the sky or the sea : it plummeted back to earth at 60 mph.
    • the present abode of humankind, as distinct from heaven or hell : God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

So yeah, I'm looking back on what I commented on and I'm thinking, oh no maybe I was out of line with the whole Malique comment. Perhaps it's a popular name down in the TO I made that up, do people say “TO”? I would say it if I lived in Canada.

I'm serious, damn the internet it always makes me sound like I'm being sarcastic. I'm not, TO looks like an awesome town.

Anyways, I thought the kid's name stood out. I felt bad, I googled, and this is what I got http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Too_Phat

    Can you blame me?

I am sickened. There is no punishment brutal or swift enough for a woman who would do this to her child. I hope they put her in a prison full of really big, mean mothers who love their children. I believe in vigilante justice but no amount of pain and suffering will ever make up for what she has done to that poor kid.

  • Ryan Starr

It really is heartbreaking. BTW: Love the idea of a “prison full of really big, mean mothers who love their children”
